Live Edge Bench - Black Walnut

This is a handmade live edge bench made of thick, solid black walnut sourced locally in Michigan. We here at Claymore Woodworks are family-owned shop on the East side of Michigan. We specialize in heirloom-quality custom handcrafted furniture. We care deeply about making beautiful things and providing our customers with the most high quality products and service available.

These beautiful walnut benches bring a fantastic rustic feel into your home with deep tones of rich dark walnut. Each piece of walnut is carefully selected and prepared to stand the test of time. 

Every slab selected for your order is completely unique, so your piece will not look exactly like the ones pictured. Each piece however is hand selected personally by me to ensure that the slab is of high quality and the perfect piece for you. 

Your walnut bench will be unlike any other and a one of a kind piece. As with any live edge slab, the shape, grain patterns, knots, and overall character of the wood will differ from slab to slab.

These benches are perfect for an entryway, under a picture window, at the foot of your bed, or anywhere else you can think of. 

Sizing:

Lengths range from 24-72" and widths will range from 11"-15" depending of which unique slab is selected. Each slab is approximately 1.25-2" thick. 

I will message you with pictures and measurements of your slab once I've started the slab prep process so you will know exactly what your bench will look like before it arrives.

Installation:

Holes for the legs are pre-drilled for your convenience, so only a screwdriver is required to set up the bench.

Leg Options:

3 different leg types are offered - hairpin, U-shape or trapezoid-shape.

Leg heights - custom leg heights are available in the U-shape and hairpin legs. They are not available in trapezoid-shape. If you would like custom sized legs please send me a message and we can put together a custom order.

Finishing:

Each bench is finished with a food safe, Claymore custom created, no VOC hard wax finish to ensure that the wood stays sealed and protected throughout it's lifetime. If at any point your bench is damaged or needs refinishing it is a very simple and straightforward process that can be completed using some sandpaper and a soft cloth.
